Attempting to find more Blacktons: there are none in the 1851 Census around Deptford, or indeed London apart from a family from Ireland in St Pancras. Pallots Marriage Index however has the following: sisters of Sophia?
Communication from Chris: "There was a large family of Blakestone's at Rochester & Chatham ( family of Christopher Blakestone & Elizabeth Lydia Bradley) in the 1700's. By 1800 many of them spelt the name Blackiston. There was also a Jane Blackstone bn at Chatham in 1800 d of Francis & Jane"
There is also this transcript from a trial in the Old Bailey, 3rd Dec 1800, where there is a
"Bow Street Officer" called William Blackton:
