| Mary Ann Shill was born in Cirencester in 1823. She had an illegitimate daughter, Sarah, in Cirencester when she was 18 years old. Eight years later she married James Lamb, who was 2 years her junior. They then lived in Tetbury with her daughter Sarah. When Sarah herself had an illegitimate son in 1860, Mary and James brought him up and she moved away to London. Mary died in Tetbury in 1898, her husband James outlived her. | ||
