Origins and Meaning

Joseph Sewell seems to have come from Fife, Scotland. The Surname Profiler shows that the most Sewells were from Cumbria and Essex area. There don't seem to be any in Scotland....

Registered deaths in Dartford Kent: Susannah (1842 & 1859), Sophia (1845), Gertrude (1859), William (1865).
