seems to have taken his father's profession of shoemaker but also worked as
a baker. He married Kezia Sewell, the daughter of a Scottish Cooper, in
Plumstead in 1843: they initially lived in Dartford, then Bromley, then
Greenwich, then Lambeth, moving closer into London. They had 5 children. |
